I did manage to have an unexpected hot lunch date with a bearded fellow who shares my bed each night. :) I taught a class at work, so that meant I got a lunch break. Luke asked if I could meet up somewhere so I just chose a sandwich shop halfway to his work, so it would be quick and easy.
After picking up Wiggy from piano practice we headed to Nothing Bundt Cakes to pick up little cakes for each of us. I had a Groupon and free birthday cake, so it was almost freeeeeeee. Woot-woot.
When I arrived home, two good friends from church came by within minutes of each other. It was an unexpected surprise. I received flowers (that made my house smell so wonderful for a week), a book by Sheri Dew, and a variety treats. Thank you Terry and Amberly! You are wonderful.
I couldn't decide what to do for dinner. I was feeling a little out of sorts because that's what I do when I have a birthday. I am not one to celebrate it too much or bring attention to it. I also knew that Luke was leaving to head to Long Beach after dinner. He has an early morning conference the next day. Boo!
We ended up going to BJ's for dinner. After dinner we came home and had our bundt cakes.
Luke and the kids got me a gift card to Nordstrom's and an Apple Iwatch. (The IWatch was around for a few weeks but I returned it a few days before Christmas. I really didn't use all the functionality and the Sports Band made my wrists break out. I looked at getting another band, but they were $149 bucks. Seriously. Didn't think it was worth all the money)
