Sleeping Bugs
I went to tuck in the kids before I went to bed. I love watching them sleep. Is this perhaps the best part of the day?! :)
Petunia is in her big girl bed and I think she likes it...but I think she misses her crib. She has had her bed set up fr several months and we have been transitioning her at bedtime. But Luke took the crib down earlier this week and it officially meant to naps in the crib. This was going to be a challenge. By naptime she is usually so weary, when we lay her down she nestles right in. Now with the freedom of a big girl bed, nap time means mama needs to lay down with her. (Which means me nap time for mama too. Good deal!)
This little girl doesn't like to have the covers on her....they are too confining. But I usually manage to cover them up when she is passed out cold.
Bubba has figured out that if he sleeps on top of his bed he won't have to make it in the morning. So, for the past few days he has been sleeping at the end of his bed, with a few snuggly blankets on top.
Tubbs is an interesting sleeper. He can only sleep under the right conditions. One of those conditions is a fan needs to be about 5 inches from his face and blowing directly on him. Kind of takes after his father that way. He has been using this fan since the beginning of the year. Far before it was warm enough to warrant it. He usually sleeps in the same position all night...unlike his brother who likes to flail himself around in every position possible. Tubbs also likes all of his stuffed animals lined up against the wall to protect him against anything that come creeping up from under the bed.

That Stop Wasn't On My Itinerary....
So the Hogue's made it to Florida for our first official family vacation. It was Sawyer's first plane ride....and Simon's first plane ride that he can remember. We were excited....the boys were stoked. We had everything we needed! But it seems that Sawyer packed something with him that wasn't on our checklist: a big case of pneumonia. Yes, the little fella made it almost one whole day in Florida before he started heading downhill fast. Our 2nd day in Orlando we were in the Urgent Care south of Cocoa Beach. (By the way, to see a doctor more quickly, it helps if you vomit all over the waiting room in front of the receptionist. Little tip for ya) After chest x-rays they advised us to head to the ER in Melbourne, where they eventually admitted him to the hospital. So, we had 3 night deluxe accommadations at the Holmes Regional Medical Center. The little whipper snapper was a trooper though! The nurses loved him, thankfully, and made us all feel right at home. We were going to send postcards out with pictures of the hospital since we spent 40% of our trip there...but they didn't have any. Imagine that!Hmmm.....maybe its something they should consider.
