Luke was home with the kids on Tuesday and then we both took Wednesday off. On Wednesday morning I went to the gym for a bit, then came home and we packed up. We were on the road by 10am.
The traditional photo from the road that we sent to the grandparents so they know we are on our way...
The largest rice crispy treat I have ever seen--in some gas station north of Fresno.
Grandma couldn't believe that Tubbs might be taller than her now.
Tubbs is my little fella. :)
Perusing the paper Thanksgiving morning.
I made some cinnamon rolls for breakfast!
Around noon, Grandpa took over to a nearby Veteran's park to take some family photos.
The three youngest Baer cousins doing what they so best when they're together.
I made a homemade stuffing with pancetta and ciabatta bread. It was pretty good. I also made this green bean casserole that had some thinly sliced fried potatoes on top. It was pretty good too.
23 people at the dinner table!
Happy Thanksgiving.
Baer Cousins and their new Aunt Maranda.
I made a pecan pie for the first time ever! It was really good.
I used the recipe from Pioneer Woman.
Grandpa made everyone at the table a little tiny pot with birdseed in it and they put them on the table at each place setting.
It was really cute!
Black Friday shopping with Grandma and Wiggy--in Grandma's new Jeep. Wiggy bought some books in Deseret Book and read them in the back until she fell asleep.
Twinning!
All 10 of us went to see the movie Moana on Friday afternoon. Earlier in the day, Grandpa picked up our tickets for the afternoon show. By the time we got to the theater there were hardly any seats in the theater---which meant we needed to come back for the next show.
"Good news everybody--arts and crafts have been extended by four hours today." All the kids painted little birdhouses.
Grandpa Baer making his famous fudge. Mmmmm.
Saturday morning we did a little shopping with Grandma--again. It was raining and chilly which meant we needed some hot cocoa!
Saturday evening was the November and December family birthday party!
I was turning the big 4-0, Eddy, Jody and Luke 44, Pops 68, and Jon 19.
After the party everyone said their goodbyes and we packed up the family trickster to head back south. Another Thanksgiving in the books!
