YES!!
No school means I won't be packing lunches for 11 weeks and Luke is off work for 7 weeks.
I am ready!
Of course. it also means my children have grown another year. I don't know how I feel about that. I do believe I am one of those parents who would be okay if my children stayed 4 or 5 years old forever. It seems like a good age to me! :)
Unfortunately, Open House at Luke's school was on the same night...so I had to take the kids solo.
Our first stop before Open House was Jamba Juice. Tubbs likes to put on a show for everyone while he waits for his beverage. Wiggy is always easily entertained by his antics.
We got a lousy parking space, as usual, and made the trek to Tubbs' classroom first. This picture below is some of my favorite stuff. I like to see their self portraits and how they answer questions. I know it's highly educational stuff. Haha.
Next stop, Bubba's class. So much to see.
This year Bubba's class made missions in class, we just had to send materials. He really liked it...but most of all I am glad it's changed since I was in 4th grade. I remember having to build a mission at home! It was more like a project for my mom and dad. So, I thougjt it was nice they did it in class with a team of kids. Each group had 4-5 kids in it.
I cannot say enough about his teacher this year. I really loved his 3rd grade teacher and this year was equally as fabulous. She was so patient! I think that is what his teachers need most....patience. Bubba has been diagnosed with ADHD and he needs to be redirected. Mrs. Leppke just loved him...and it warmed my heart. Another mom, who helped out in the classroom every week, shared with me conversations she had with her about Bubba. She said always had compliments and positive things to say. She was a great teacher for us this year and we couldn't have asked for anything more. I look forward to Tubbs having her in two years.
