It started the day before her birthday (the second day of school) when Grandma and Grandpa Hogue picked her up from school. They took her to Hobby Lobby, Target and then Applebee's for dinner. When she finally arrived home later in the evening, she showed off all of her birthday gifts. Plenty of crafts, embroidery patterns, and clothes. It looks like she was off a very good start as far as spoiling goes. She really enjoyed getting picked up by Grandma and Grandpa.
Friday was her actual birthday. I LOVE Friday or Saturday birthdays!
She woke up with the traditional balloons over her bed with seven dollars cash inside of them. Of course she came and got in my bed through the night, so she actually didn't get to wake up with them over her head. Maybe I should've put them over my bed....?
Popping balloons before breakfast.
She got to open her present from Tubbs before school---a pair of pug earrings from Etsy.
Mom made her some breakfast waffled before school!
Dad picked her up for lunch and they went to Jersey Mike's subs.
Reading her homemade birthday cards from Rufus and Grandma/Grandpa Baer. They arrived on her birthday, so it was perfect timing.
Birthday greetings sent from some fave cousins and Auntie Baer.
Bubba's first football scrimmage was that evening at North high, so we went to cheer on our fave right guard, then went to dinner at BJ's afterwards.
Saturday afternoon Wiggy and seven of her friends met us at Edward's movie theater to watch "Kubo and the Seven Strings." It was a pretty bizarre animated movie to be honest, but the kids seemed fascinated by it.
After the movie was over we headed back to our house for some cake and ice cream!
Overall, I think this girl had a great time and I hope she knows how loved she is. Happy birthday to our smart, fabulous, beautiful and witty Wiggy girl.
