We are "celebrating" summer break like many of our friends and family. Luke has been off work for 4 weeks now and the boys have been out of school for five weeks. Luke has to go back to work in exactly three weeks, but he is wishing that wasn't the case. Of course he is lucky to have seven weeks off in the summer but the man needs it! I think everyone in education needs it it. This last school year was TOUGH and I wish I had another few months off before Luke OR the boys had to go back. I LOVE summer break!!
We are really enjoying summer. Thankfully we have a pool, or that might not be the case. We are enjoying watching the boys on the Lakeside swim team again this year and we have had the opportunity to go to San Diego for six days so I could attend a conference for work. Luke also went four wheeling in Big Bear Father's Day weekend with the boys, my dad and two nephews. I will try to get these posts done this week since Bubba and Tubbs are off camping with Grandma and Grandpa Hogue for five days this week! Going to miss those little rascals. They will be back Friday just in time for the swim championships on Saturday.
A few random photos fron our long, lazy summer days:
A proud parenting moment for me....
Came across this picture of me when we were at my Grandma's house in SD this summer. Love the hair.
Another picture my Grandma had up. We are debating the year...is it 1984 or 1986? My dad took a family picture of us every Easter Sunday in our back yard. I love these pictures and I try to do the same thing with my family.
Enjoying a McDonald's ice cream cone at the end of the day.
One of daddy's breakfast creations on a lazy summer morning.
Petunia discovered she loves chicken drumsticks.
A movie treat at the end of the day, as they relax on the pull out couch. The boys have been riding with Luke to Walgreens to rent a movie from the $1.00 Redbox machine out front....and they can always manage to get a treat out of daddy while they are there.
First swim meet in June was chilly!
Petunia got a full size big girl bed. So, we are working on transitioning her out of the crib. We got rid of the changing table since she was crawling up on it and scaring us half to death.
The Hogue Tag Team
Amigos.
Lounging in the pool
Mama's shower camp is fun to wear...and she looks like Strawberry Shortcake
They can't live with each other--they can't live without each other
Tubbs...my handsome seven year old.
Bubba my hunky nine year old :)
My silly one year old...who is growing like a weed. I cannot believe she will be two next month.
