We ended up going the week after Easter, so the boys missed two days of school. Luke was unable to miss work because of state testing and he wasn't sad....at all.
Grandma and Grandpa brought cousins Natalie and Holden with them. They arrived Wednesday afternoon. We ate Baja Fresh and then packed everything up for the next four days.
Day 1 is California Adventure because it didn't open until 10am. We ended up leaving the house around 7:15am.
The kids were excited to see Cars Land for the first time.
We got into California Adventure around 11:30am and there were no fast passes for the Cars ride.
Insert Heavy sigh here.
We waited in line for almost two hours. This ride better be good.
It was Natalie and Wiggy's first time on Tower of Terror!! :) Wiggy ended up getting very nervous by the time we got on the ride. Surprisingly she didn't freak out....too much.
Wiggy's eyes are closed in this picture. I am not sure if she kept them closed the entire time or if she was just blinking.
Bubba's tummy was bothering him so he didn't use his Fast Pass for California Screamin. Wiggy wanted to ride but she was too short. That meant treat time with Grandma while we waited for Grandpa, Tubbs and Natalie.
We left California Adventure around 8pm and then headed to Denny's for dinner.
It was a LONG day. Surprise - surprise I know.
We didn't bring or rent strollers for the two little ones. They were wore out by early evening! We stayed at the Marriott Residence Inn. Our room had two bathrooms and slept all eight of us comfortably between the queen beds, sofa sleeper and bunk beds. It also had a free breakfast buffet. The kids were in heaven.
Day 2...heading to Disneyland. Today we are taking the hotel shuttle. The park opened at 9am and we took the 9:40 shuttle over the park. Everyone hopped on the train while I ran over to Splash Mountain to get fast passes. Most of us hopped off the train in Tomorrowland so we could get on Space Mountain.
Grandma and Grandpa Baer paid for Wiggy and Natalie to get princess makeovers in Fantasy Land. It was quite the production to watch and the girls loved it.
Grandpa went into the Haunted House with us!
It was the kids' first time in the Tiki Room....the boys were not impressed at all. Especially Bubba who really dislikes people singing. He did try the pineapple whip though and liked it.
Day three was Disneyland again. We could've entered the park an hour before it opened...but Friday night was late enough, so it was hard getting everyone up, fed and onto the 9:10 shuttle.
Yesterday Miss Wiggy was Aurora and today she opted for Ariel.
We stayed later tonight so we could see all the shows. Luckily I brought lots of glow wands and bracelets to help entertain the kids.
Sunday morning we had our last breakfast at the hotel, loaded up and headed home. Wiggy wanted to wear her princess hair piece again. She loves her long hair!
