Gimpy Wiggy

This little girl was climbing into the back of daddy's truck and fell out. No one actually saw what happened because I was gone and dad was in front of the truck, with the hood up.
I got home from Young Women's, to see Wiggy all laid up on the couch with ice on her foot. (Apparently Tubbs was a great paramedic and swung into action to help Wiggy. Maybe he'll be a paramedic or a fireman one day. Haha.)
The next morning Wiggy wouldn't walk on her foot, so I stayed home and took her to the Urgent Care. The x-ray came back questionable so the doctor put a splint on it, gave us crutches and sent the x-ray out to be read by a radiologist.
Thankfully it came back negative, later in the afternoon.
The following morning I took her to my podiatrist, to follow up with the x-rays. He said there didn't appear to be a fracture, but she needed to wear shoes because her big toe seemed "loose."
Ok....A loose big toe... but no fracture and nothing dislocated. She started to walk a little bit on it by later in the day.
We came home from the podiatrist to a cupcake delivery! Thank you Grandma Hogue. Cupcakes makes everything heal much quicker!

Bubba came home to see Wiggy with crutches and thought it was very funny. He felt bad for Wiggy.

A long day and this little girl didn't like the splint. She was crying out, so we cut it off right after dinner and then this girl passed out for the night.

Wiggy's friend Zachary brought over a goody bag of treats for the patient. So very sweet! Wiggy was very thankful and enjoyed the attention. :)

That Stop Wasn't On My Itinerary....

So the Hogue's made it to Florida for our first official family vacation. It was Sawyer's first plane ride....and Simon's first plane ride that he can remember. We were excited....the boys were stoked. We had everything we needed! But it seems that Sawyer packed something with him that wasn't on our checklist: a big case of pneumonia. Yes, the little fella made it almost one whole day in Florida before he started heading downhill fast. Our 2nd day in Orlando we were in the Urgent Care south of Cocoa Beach. (By the way, to see a doctor more quickly, it helps if you vomit all over the waiting room in front of the receptionist. Little tip for ya) After chest x-rays they advised us to head to the ER in Melbourne, where they eventually admitted him to the hospital. So, we had 3 night deluxe accommadations at the Holmes Regional Medical Center. The little whipper snapper was a trooper though! The nurses loved him, thankfully, and made us all feel right at home. We were going to send postcards out with pictures of the hospital since we spent 40% of our trip there...but they didn't have any. Imagine that!Hmmm.....maybe its something they should consider.
